This cache is dedicated to Alben W. Barkley, Vice President of the United States. He was given the name "The Veep" as an abbreviation to "Mr. Vice President." Alben W. Barkley's birthplace is located on Alben Barkley Road, close to the cache location. There is a monument marking his birthplace.
