Geocache Description:

This is a Wherigo cache and requires a Wherigo player to run the cartridge. The posted coords are the start location for playing the cartridge. The cartridge itself requires no driving. The final cache is within 2 miles.

This Wherigo cartridge is based on the Atari game "Adventure".

Adventure was the first action-adventure video game. It was published by Atari in 1978 and sold over 1 million copies. It introduced the idea of movable objects that could be picked up by the player and moved from place to place in the game world. It was also one of the first video games to allow the player to explore a large multi-screen game world. As the first action-adventure game, it inspired the current genre of action-adventure video games, including Legend of Zelda, the Ultima series, and many others.

You are on an adventure quest to find the Golden Chalice and return it to the Throne Room inside the Gold Castle. But beware, not only are the castles locked (you'll need to find the keys) but there is also a dragon that protects the lands too, and he doesn't like you very much. There's also a sword and a magnet to aid, or hinder, your adventure as you move between the rooms of the land. Like most any adventure game, remember you don't always win the first time you play.
You can print the attached Map of the land ahead of time if you'd like (it's also available inside the cartridge). When playing the game, you must move from room to room. You can't skip rooms. See the Locations tab in the cartridge to see the available rooms.

Have fun playing out your own Adventure
