The Shore Acres Wizard Traditional Cache
wiji: Stopped by again.... and sure enough the cache is not there..... or too deep to retrieve. Try as I might to keep this geocache active, the forces are against me. The knots are also closing up making it harder to keep a suitable hide here. Ultimately .... it is time for this cache to enter eternal sleep. Goodnight sweet geocache.

This cache sits near the site of the original home of Colonel Arthur Rankin, who captured the enemy flag in the Battle Of Windsor (1838) and served 3 terms as member of parliament. After his house was destroyed by fire in 1925, the location became home to the Shore Acres Hotel. The hotel moved to London Street (University Street) in the 40s, and the city purchased the property for use as a park - Shore Acres Park. In the early 50s the Rotary Club of Windsor and the City of Windsor teamed up for an ambitious plan to build an Olympic-sized pool and dive tank. The project resulted in a $135,000 community outdoor pool, but the city had to wait another 60 years for an Olympic-sized pool.
Cache is a slender micro container.
