On our way to our GeoCaching Badge!
The first cache for Girl Scout Troop 44058 at a place where we all love to hang out. Check out the tadpoles and frogs at he nearby drainage ponds (when there's water). We left some hand made treasures to be collected or spread around the other caches in the area. Cache is down an access trail/road. Plenty of parking at end of 286th. Updates (7/7/2018): First off, when we placed the cache in 2012, 286th street ended in a cul-de-sac and there was nothing but green beyond. That's changed … a whole bunch! Be careful with parking and please respect the new neighbors. Second, when we placed the cache originally the trail was still frequented by trucks and motorcycles. Since then the main trail has become overgrown and is really only accessible on foot/bike. The final approach is ~really~ overgrown, but if you look carefully you can find the way without needing any bushwhacking. Update (8/24/2019): Mother nature finally got the better of the original cache location and we had to move. While it was still accessible, it would have needed another a difficulty-star because the final 60 feet of trail is gone. We never intended this to be super difficult 'cause the Girl Scouts that originally placed the cache wanted it to be about the journey, not the hide. Hope this new location is just as fun.
