Steepish climb to GZ but well paved. Plenty of parking. Muggle factor variable.
Must have driven past here hundreds of times but never bothered to investigate. This would have to be one of Newcastle's best kept secrets, Braye Park is one of the highest points in Newcastle and has spectacular 360 degree views. The playground itself is in good condition and has swings, a slide, climbing parts, a bridge and a pretend store. There are plenty of covered tables and a path for the kids to ride their bikes or scooters on. I was most surprised that there was no cache up here. There is one now.
