A micro cache on a public footpath which is hard to follow and not sign posted at all as far as I can see. OS mapping is very useful here so you can make sure that you are where you should be!
As I was walking between another cache of ours and a new one in the area, I thought that some more along these footpaths might help open them up a bit more as the views around here are excellent!
This cache is a micro with a pencil and log book in it and is as the title suggests, near to an old gate post which is rather redundant now. When I was here I wanted to carry on over the gate to follow the footpath but there were some large, noisy and frankly smelly beasts inches away from me so I went around a different way. The fields were full of rabbits and bluebells and the sun was shining, you had to be there really, beautiful!
So take care around the animals in the fields and if anyone can find where the stiles are then they must have looked better than I!!
