A small cache in the vicinity of the Beacon Hut Bronze Age Burial Chamber, well at least that's what I think it is as it is shown on my OS mapping but if anyone else has the right name for it and any further info then please let me know!
The cache itself is not in the monument but nearby at the base of a large pointy rock, under some more rocks. There are lots of rocks in this area but I think that this will be easy enough to find! There is also an old chimney stack very near to GZ so any info about this or the monument would be great!
The area can be accessed by public footpath from the nearby road, although there is no stile there, just a gate which needs to be climbed over; or the other way which is the way I came as I was in the area placing caches. There is a small space for parking near to the mast just down the road from the trailhead.
There is a pencil and log book in the cache which is a micro in a plastic jar so there is room for swaps, TBs etc...
As mentioned the cache is not in the monument so there is no need to pull it apart or go dry stone walling but the views from on top are amazing!
Happy caching!
