Geocache Description:

Congrats to alex_h + ruthmcb416 + JakesGang on the joint FTF

This cache is the first in a series of caches. The plan is to put out a range of difficulty and terrain caches, as well as cache types, local to the Eglinton and surrounding areas (for my ease of maintenance). The first digit of these caches will also start with all the letters and numbers for anyone trying to complete their Alphanumeric challenge.

Please remember to note down the letter printed around the outside of the cache.

There is room for a single vehicle to park at the field entrance very close to the GZ.

This should be a quick cache and dash, but if you have planned it for a clear day you will be rewarded with some great views.

Obviously, City of Derry International Airport can be seen in front of you if you run your eye along the road going down the hill, but also a view that stretches from the Transmission Aerials on top of Sheriffs Mountain to the far left, round through the hills of Donegal and Lough Foyle right round to Binevenagh to the far right.

The cache when placed was a 670ml tab lock box inside a camo bag.

The contents where as follows;

Rite in the Rain Logbook and a pencil.

A Calculator
Winners medal
Hand warmer
Trolley coin
Colouring pencils

Please remember to trade up or trade even. Do not leave trackables in lieu of trade items.

There is also a First to Find prize, a Rolson Survival Tools and a FTF pin badge.

As this is my first placed cache I have also included a navigation coin (non-trackable) that I retrieved when I found my first FTF, hopefully this will inspire you to place it in your own first cache if you haven’t already left one.

A bonus cache will then be available by solving an anagram with all the collected letters from each of the previous 36 caches.

REMEMBER TO JOT DOWN AND KEEP THE LETTER PRINTED AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE CACHE. Happy hunting.
