BH#2-Mausoleum Woods
A short multi designed to introduce you to The Pelham Mausoleum.
It was erected between 1787 and 1794 by Charles Anderson Pelham as a memorial to his wife Sophia, who died at an early age.
The architect was James Wyatt and his design is based on the Temples of Vesta at Rome and Tivoli.
It is sited on an old Roman burial ground as suggested by Capability Brown in his landscape drawings for Brocklesby Park.
The first part of the multi will lead you to the front of the Mausoleum (access into can be given with permission from the Estate). To work out the final you will need to solve this...
N53 33.ABC
W000 17.DEF
A= Number of pillars minus 3
B= The last roman numeral of Sophia's age
C= Both numbers of Sophia's age added together (i.e. if she was 45...4+5=9, but that's not the answer otherwise I may as well have just said the answer is 9, which it's not. So neh!)
D= Last roman numeral of the date (not the year) in 'Jan' minus 1
E= Last roman numeral of the date (not the year) in 'Jan'
F= Last roman numeral of the date (not the year) in 'Jan' plus the last two roman numerals of Sophia's age.
Once you have solved these I ask you appreciate where the coords take you.
Beautiful pictures to be taken here and the view just begs for a picnic...tough, you've got loads more caches to get. Get a move on!!
The cache is a camo nano.
Remember: In some of the caches you will find a letter. Please take a note of these letters as they will help you find the bonus cache.
