Tiny Often Empty Park: Wayne, NJ Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

ArmyFanGeo: First off, let me say sorry to all those who have been prohibited from geocaching this geocache due to its ongoing maintenance, and to OReviewer for my negligent response. I've been so busy with things, Geocaching has unfortunately had to take a back seat.

I checked out the GZ today and noticed that the leaves, which protect the view of the cache, where cache was hidden (attached to a fence, behind some overhanging leaves from a nearby tree) must often be cut by someone, presumably the town's Parks & Rec. Department. Thus, I cannot hide the geocache in the spot it was in. Meanwhile, the rest of the park doesn't have much of good cover - after all, it is a Tiny Park. I could throw a micro behind a sign or along another better protected part of the fence, but I decided against it because firstly, I wanted to increase the size of the cache, and secondly, because I don't want to prevent my involvement outside of Geocaching again distract the care that this cache needs.

Therefore, I am archiving this geocache - currently the geocache and its attachment device have been removed from the GZ. I hope more are inspired by the Tiny Often Empty Park series.

Thanks everyone for your understanding, and I hope I'll see you all on the trail soon.

Geocache Description:

Although Wayne is now being flooded with new caches, I really wanted to add a cache to the Tiny Often Empty Park series.

This geocache is located at Rumana Park, a tiny, often empty park. Compromised of a swing set, slide, basketball hoop, and a little jungle gym, it is common to drive by and see the park empty. It is really nice, however, and this is why I am putting a cache here - to let geocachers know of this quiet location.

This cache is part of the “Tiny Often Empty Park Tour”. Please visit the cache that started it all. It’s called “Tiny Often Empty Park (#1): North Brunswick, NJ” (GCR1V3) to see the latest Tiny Park count.

The cache is a small Luray Caverns container. If you haven't visited Luray Caverns in Luray, Virginia, you really should. Anyway, as small as it is it contains much small trade inside, so beware when opening as to not spill it out. Please, if you wish, continue trading with the items inside. I thought it'd be pretty neat to have a micro with micro trades. The FTF prize is a Luray Caverns pin.
