The Tamar Development Project (the Project) covers design and construction of a Central Government Complex, the Legislative Council Complex, an open space and two elevated walkways, in Tamar, Central, Hong Kong.
Tamar Park, created with the concept of "Land Always Green", opens to the public today, providing an escape fro the busy city life - particularly for those working in the business district.
The 1.76-hectare park, managed by the Leisure & Cultural Services Department, is part of the Tamar Development Project. It is adjacent to the Central Government Offices at Tamar and the Legislative Council Complex.
Tamar Park was designed to allow visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Victoria Harbour. It will also be linked up with the open space to be developed along the northern shore of Hong Kong Island.
A 240-seat amphitheatre is open for organisations for staging cultural and leisure activities and performances.
