A pretty easy find hidden near the "new" water tower in Yorkton.
The old water tower was built back in 1930 and was replaced back in 1999. The water tower acts as a pressure control for the city water supply. There are pumps to maintain water pressure, and excess water flows up into the tower. This helps even out pressure changes as the various pumps start and stop. If there is a loss of power to the pumps, then water pressure is maintained by gravity feed.
The new tower is 157 feet tall and has a 300,000 gallon capacity.
