Geocache Description:

Concealed nano at a stretch. You need to bring your own pen. Although not too close to river parents should be aware this cache is between a busy road and the river and supervise accordingly. This is a busy area and extreme stealth is now required.

14th June 2012 marks the centenary of The Norwich Sea Cadets who have T.S. Lord Nelson permanently moored near here.

I do not know much about The Sea Cadets as I was a Scout from age 10 till my mid twenties. But as long as I can remember there has always been a Cadet ship moored here. I feel certain it has changed over the years I seem to remember a Motor Torpedo Boat here at one stage with big black numbers on it, as I remember, 724 but not 100% sure.

Earlier this year The Duke Of York visited the Cadets in Norwich and this ship is where he viewed a number of demonstrations from the Cadets.

If anyone has further information on the ship or Norwich Sea Cadets please let me know and I will add to this description. Just hurried to get this up in time for the centenary.

WELL DONE NORWICH SEA CADETS ON REACHING THIS IMPORTANT MILESTONE! CONGRATULATIONS AJM580 AND JOLLY OLLEYS ON JOINT FTF
