Annie Blake purchased the entire Gervacio Nolan Mexican Land Grant from his heirs for $10,000; she sold a one-third in it to Charles Goodnight for $5,000 and another one-third interest to brothers Peter and Jacob Dotson for another $5,000.A few years later, after Congress had reduced the total amount of the claim to 48,000 acres, all three interests were purchased by the Central Colorado Improvement Company for $130,000.
