Geocache Description:


Lauren and I decided to set a cache series about rocks, we hope that after doing these caches you will learn a little about the chosen materials!!!

There are 15 caches in the series and each has a related question to the rock contained within. If you find all fifteen and can calculate the answers you will have discovered the Coords for the final challenge cache!

J: How many planes of cleavage are found in the structure of this substance? Multiply that answer by "2". THEN subtract the hardness (on Mohs scale) of this substance THEN ass the answer to the answer of #3 in the series to calculate J.

***NOTE FROM THE COs: We got all of our information from the Smithsonian Handbook of Rocks and Minerals. Please refer to this book for the best answer to the question in case of confusion. These answers were found on page 74 of that book. We mention this due to a bit of confusion brought to our attention about conflicting sources of info.
