Geocache Description:

Some time ago a number of OVCers placed the TOW series along Lockwood Valley Road. The prime mover/organizer was a dedicated cacher known as "Badfeet". Badfeet served in the United States Navy and was a Seabee. With Memorial day coming up soon I'd like to recognize Badfeet with a few new caches in honor of the Seabees.

Another Silver Star recipitant was Fireman 1st Class Aurelio Tassone, USNR, of the 87th Naval Construction Battalion. His actions created that legendary figure of the Seabee,  astride his bulldozer, attacking and rolling over enemy positions. Tassone was driving a bulldozer when he was, told  a Japanese pillbox was holding up the advance. Tassone drove his dozer straight at the pillbox, using the blade as a shield and  crushed the pillbox  killing all of its occupants.
