The cache is a fastened tube. Remove the upper plug and pull on the string. You will get the container with the log book
Hólar forrest is a great place for walking around. A series of hiking paths have been build in the forrest to allow people to enjoy it. About 10 years ago a group of Norwegian forresters came to Hólar to build a hiking trail. They build this nice part of the trail, which is called the Norwegian steps. Enjoy
When putting out the cache the GPS reception was not great - about 7 m radius. It is nice to follow the hiking trail towards the mine across the wooden platform, the cache is off that trail
