Geocache Description:


The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project started by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. I feel this is a good distinction to put on this type of cache and would like to see it used here in Michigan. Please be respectful of the area, and observe their rules and posted hours, Michigan law states that you are only permitted to visit cemeteries dawn to dusk through out the state unless posted.

This cache is one of many that will be placed as part of the It's Bath Time series. I moved to Bath last August from East Lansing, and since resuming Geocaching, I feel like there are very few caches in the area. The ones that are placed are great caches; however, because there are very few, people aren't enticed to get out at I-69 Exit 92 and get them. Bath has a lot of history, especially in regards to the unfortunate events of the Bath School Disaster (Read more about it here). I encourage you to take some time and visit this quiet community. This series was designed to bring more caches (and people) to the area. Some will be quick park and grabs; for others, you will need to thoroughly look for them. Regardless, I hope you have fun. This cache is located in the back of Pleasant View Cemetery, one of two cemeteries located in Bath (the other being Rose Cemetery on Upton Rd). I had thought about placing a cache back here for a while but could never find a good spot. With the amount of tree climbing caches I have seen lately, I came back  to this site and knew exactly where I wanted to hide this. For taller people, this cache should be pretty easy. For shorter people, you may need some assistance. The cache is a regular sized lock-n-lock with a logbook, pencil, and trinkets. Please place the cache back where it belongs.
