Another ammo can in Lake Ouachita State Park. Park permit #GP 28-12-06.
This is a cache that was originally placed by a group of cachers after a CITO event in the park. I actually found this can and its contents in fair shape, so I reswagged it, painted it a bit, and placed it back.
In going through the old logbook, I realized that there were two young ladies attending that day, who are no longer with us. One was Polijn, who was the park interpreter at the time, and the other was Geoamytry, who was one of the first other cachers I had met. I would like to offer this cache to the memory of these two young mothers who both loved the outdoors. They also had at least a small part in getting me started on my Geocaching journey. They are both truly missed.
As with all woods caches, please be cognizant of the presence of snakes, spiders, ticks, chiggers and other potentially harmful wildlife, not to mention the abundance of trifoliate on this penninsula.
Happy Caching!
