Several years ago, the Edinboro Branch of the Erie COunty Public Library was housed in the town underneath the Borough Building. When the County decided to cut funds and close the branch, there was a great community uproar.
A group formed and brought many people together to fund their own library. Just as things were getting very close to finalizing locations and structures, the County reversed its decision and had the library move to its new location, the site of the old House of Edinboro, a now closed furniture store.
Originally, this building was the horse barn for the Culbertson Farm many moons ago. There used to be a race track behind where the trees are now.
