Geocache Description:

While out looking for (and finding) opportunities to plant caches, I was reminded of the following (non-partisan) story.

A certain former President of the US was in an airport when he saw an older gentleman dressed in a long flowing robe, and holding a pair of stone tablets in one arm and carrying a staff in the other.  Believing he knew who the man was, he went over to him and said "Aren't you Moses?"  The old man looked at him and then turned away.  The former President went around in front of him, and repeated his question.  Again the old man turned away.  A third time, the former President confronted the man, touching him on the arm, and said, "Aren't you Moses?  Why do you keep ignroing me?"

The old man sighed, and replied, "Yes, I am Moses.  I didn't want to talk to you, because the last time I talked to a Bush, I ended up spending 40 years in the wilderness."

As I recalled the story, guess what I was standing in front of!

This cache is a camoflaged container, just a short walk from the Steve Nagel Playground in LakeLand Park.  The late Col. Steve Nagel was born and raised in Canton and was America's 100th astronaut to go into space.  He commanded several shuttle missions.  The Steve Nagel Playground has a space theme, of course.

This cache is one of several within 1/4 mile of the playground, and there are numerous caches throughout the Park.  The park is open year-round during daylight hours, which vary according to the season (longer hours, for example, in the summertime).

The Canton Park District is very supportive of geocaching, and this cache is placed with their permission.
