The Tree Walk Traditional Cache

_{At the turn of the last century the La Salette Fathers came from France to administer a parish which became known as Our Lady of La Salette.  In 1905 the Fathers welcomed the sisters of Our Lady of the Cross who also came from France to teach in and operate the St. Joseph’s Convent. Students from grades one to twelve attended, some as day students and many as boarders.   The enrolment rose to as high as 200 in 1945 and then leveled off to approximately 90 after the war years.  The Convent closed in 1964. Over the fifty eight years the Convent was open there were 2,983 students who passed through its doors. The above memorial remains on the grounds as a testament to the contribution made to many lives.}
