You're invited to join us at a brand new park in Carroll County Georgia. The county park has just opened back in April, and joins the already great line up of John Tanner (formerly state park) park, and McIntosh Reserve, which geocachers are already very familiar with.
There are coordinates given for the Little Tallapoosa Park entrance, as this is a brand new park, your GPSr will probably not list the park or the address. This will get you close enough to find the park. Next, you will proceed to the posted coordinates and join the fun. There will be an oasis with some refreshments, fun, and fellowship.
We will be meeting in the great outdoors so REMEMBER to bring some bug spray, and you might want to bring a camp chair and a favorite snack to share. We'll be meeting at 7:00 until you are ready to leave. The park will be saturated with caches between now and then so come early and enjoy the day. There is a $5.00 fee to park or they offer an annual pass that is good for all the parks in the county system. If you come earlier in the day, you can pay your parking fee at the office, but if you just come for the event, don't bother stopping by the office we will take up the collection during the meeting. We might have a little raffle, or play a game or two, but probably the fireflies will be the main entertainment! Water and soft drinks will be provided; as well as some snacks like boiled peanuts, and chips; did I mention that you are allowed to bring snacks and goodies to share with us??? We are looking forward to seeing everyone there!
