Geocache Description:

Cache on Felton Common with grete views of the airport and planes.
Once the Cache has been found walk to N51° 23.010 W2° 41.894 sit down lay back and look up.

Parking is at N 51° 23.273 W 002° 41.910 Where there is parking for about a dozen cars (PLEASE DO NOT PARK OR DRIVE ON THE COMMON).

The Cache is not far from our favourite place on the common, a good place to sit and watch the planes.

Felton Common is a large open space on land fairly high up just to the east of Bristol airport with lots of odd stones, mounds and other features.

Please there is no need to move any stones and please do not drive on the common and stick to the paths.

Near the southern edge of the common can be found a couple of large mounds, with many stones and rocks to be seen, but it is difficult to know what to make of these remains, which are to be found amongst the deep undergrowth.

At the south western corner are the remains of an oval barrow, which has several stones protruding from its northern end, which may be the remains of what was once a chamber.
