I am placing this cache in honor of my late father who was taken from us suddenly when I was a teenager. Everyone that knew my father knew how much he loved to travel. He was the type of guy who would plan out every detail of our family vacations so we could hit all of the crazy little roadside attractions like the worlds biggest ball of twine. I know for a fact that he would of loved geocaching and he would have been right next to my family and I while we are out hunting. The coordinates listed will not take you to the cache itself. (Don't worry the cache isn't far) They will take you to the bench my family placed on the church grounds that he was very involved in when he passed, his ashes are buried below the bench. I now live in St. Louis Missouri and only get to visit him maybe once a year. I hope this cache brings the old man lots of visitors because he was such a people person. Please stop in and say hi before you move on to the additional waypoint. The cache itself is an ammo can that contains a log and lots of swag for the kiddies. (of all ages) There is also a small lock and lock inside the ammo can that is for travel bugs and geocoins only!! If you take or leave a trackable please log it. I picked up one of the bugs outside of St. Louis and one of the goals for it is to visit Alabama. We figured that this would be the perfect cache to place the beady eyed little booger. The other bug is my first trackable that i am starting in this cache. I want to thank John "phat rok" Lancaster the senior minister at the church for giving me permission for placing this cache. I would also like to thank my very good friend aembrey for doing local maintenance. Cache on!!
