The quilt pattern on this 18th century barn is designed to replicate the many large maple trees which have been lining roads in the area for the past century. The cache is a lock-n-lock in a winter friendly position.
This cache series will take you to a selection of the Old Mission Quilt Barns. Too see them all, we recommend that while you are at the Visitors Center, you pick up a map of the area and the Quilt Barn Trail brochure. In addition, while you are there, we think getting the "Traverse City Wine Trail", ""Old Mission Pennisula", "Mission Point Lighthouse", and "General Store Old Mission" pamphlets will enhance your visit.
