"Teddy's Corner" Traditional Cache

This cache is located on the north facing slopes of Slieve Corragh, Mourne Mountains, Co.Down.
And why "Teddy's Corner" you might ask? Well, it was whilst walking near this slight bend in the Mourne Wall that I heard my phone "ping" heralding an incoming text message which informed me that I had just become a grandad - the new arrival was called "Teddy" - hence "Teddy's Corner".
The cache is not hidden at the Wall itself but in a delightful little granite walled grass floored gully a short distance to the north. Hardly any walkers visit this spot - a pity, but all the better for you as you should get peace to search the gully, pausing now and then to enjoy the spectacular views - providing the weather is good, of course. You will need keen eyes as the cache is well hidden - please replace the cache container carefully in an upright position.
Probably the easiest way to reach the cache area is to park at the Trassey Car Park or Meelmore Lodge and walk to the Hare's Gap. Cross the stile at the Gap, then head left following the Mourne Wall - recross the wall at the stile below the summit of Slievenaglogh - then keep to the north side of the Wall.
Remember this cache is located in a remote upland area which should be treated with respect - so, come suitably dressed and equipped for mountain conditions - don't forget your map and compass. This part of Slieve Corragh is steep and rugged in places - so take care when you are exploring.
