Geocache Description:

One of a series of caches located at Old Mission Quilt Barns. Visit Welcome to Traverse City at the Visitors Center for a brochure and maps.

This little red barn is right along the road. The cache is a large camoed nut jar in an obvious location. You can get up close to this one. From the barn description, "The crazy quilt pattern shows the Eucharist in the middle, the five stars represent their children. The three fruits are what they grow, and the palm tree is the logo for Fran’s clothing business. View it up close to see the lovely painted decorative stitching."

This cache series will take you to a selection of the Old Mission Quilt Barns. Too see them all, we recommend that while you are at the Visitors Center, you pick up a map of the area and the Quilt Barn Trail brochure. In addition, while you are there, we think getting the "Traverse City Wine Trail", ""Old Mission Pennisula", "Mission Point Lighthouse", and "General Store Old Mission" pamphlets will enhance your visit.
