Geocache Description:

While walking the Trail this weekend and dropping off a few TB's at Percival Island a beaten path caught our eye.  We decided to give it a look and found a cool spot to place a cache on the way.

You are looking for a Cache that is basically a test tube with a soft drink cap.  This seemed like a great place to place a cache.  Its close to a great swimming hole and gives a close view of the James River.

If you are coming from the (short walk) parking lot that the coordinates indicate then once you pass over the first bridge hang an imediate left at the bench and trashcan, and a right from the (main parking).  Theres a clear beaten path that eventually ends up at the cache spot.  Be careful once you get to the end of the trail.  Its single file only and a small walking area.  One small slip and you could end up in the river. Once past the large tree with the fork in it there is a stairway down made from roots use it to get down the ledge. You will need to cross a creek that depending on the water level may be a trickle or possibly knee deep or more.

The cache is zip tied in and is upside down so removing it is unnecessary. Just unscrew the cap to release the log.

I hope you enjoy the walk through woods and the balancing act across the ledge as much as we did.  Be careful and enjoy a swim while youre there.

Note: This cache is reachable by canoe or kayak. Congratulations to ithink314 for FTF!
