This cache is located at a home built by Dr. Hilton, one of those caught up in the scandalous "Shootout at Sundown" in Downtown El Dorado.
Please bring a book with you to enjoy this special cache.
This home was built for Mrs. Hilton by Dr. Hilton circa 1913. Dr. Hilton was a prominent physician in El Dorado, later in life working with Dr. Fergus O. Mahony, Senior. Notably, Dr. Hilton was present at the 1902 downtown shootout of the Tucker-Parnell family rivalry, where Dr. Hilton shot and wounded Tom Parnell during the melee.
Look for this little house in the Murphy-Hill Residential Historic District near downtown El Dorado.
