CamOcean Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ranger Tina: Beach has been rearranged by winter storms. Sheltering log and cache have floated away. Sorry for the person's track able that has floated away. Perhaps it will be like a message in a bottle and turn up on some other beach where it will be found.

Geocache Description:

A cache for clean waters, from mountain to sea.  In celebration of World Oceans.

Cama Beach once a resort, now a park
From this property go to the beach and embark.

Birds in the trees or soaring along the shore,
see driftwood, sand and seashells galore.

Each thing on the shore has a lesson to teach,
it’s important that it stays on the beach.

If you lift up a rock, it's a home you will find,
please put it back gently, be courteous and kind.

Shore critters seek cover under rocks, shells and sand,
their dwellings like ours are carefully planned.

Barnacles, chitons and limpets cling to their homes,
touched lightly by the sparkling sea foam.

Shore crabs scurry to hide from harm,
lifting their roof causes them alarm.

Critters need the safety of shelter too,
just like me and you.

Growing among drift logs is a tree.
Helping clean the water that flows to the sea.

Enjoy what nature is giving this day,
Get outside, go and play!
