This ATV trail goes between the main trail to Shoal Bay and the parallel trail that is referred to as the pipeline trail. This ATV trail is a little rough and is aproximately 1 km in length. It is rough for an ATV or mountain bike, but should be OK for hiking. Three caches were placed along this trail to help as a guide when geocaching in this area. The Shoal Bay area makes for excellent hiking, especially for those who prefer the longer, more rigourous hikes. These trails are frequently the start of the 12 km hike to the Spout. Some hikers decide to complete the 24km hike from Shoal Bay Road to the Spout and on to Bay Bulls.
