Geocache Description:

This is the third cache place on an old railway path known as the Incline and can be combine with Tyson's Walk and others to make a nice circular walk above Neath.

This was once part of the route of the 'South Wales Mineral Railway' engineered by Isambard Kingdom Brunel to link the collieries at Glyncorrwg in the Afan Valley with the Docks at Briton Ferry. The incline gradient is about 1 in 10 and the coal wagons were lowered by means of a wire cable from the Incline Top. The cache can be found beyond the area where the winding gear for the incline was situated.
Be warned the cuttings can get VERY MUDDY so please where appropriate shoes/boots.
