Slaughter Beach Series - Evans Dr Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

The Slaughter Beach Series is a series of caches placed among the public beach access roads and points of interest throughout this bayside town.

This cache was made to revive the now-archived GCMED0. For those of you who have found the original cache this will prove to be rather simple. For those of you who are new to this location it’s well hidden and should be quite satisfying once you finally see it.

Here is the original write up for the “Invasion of the Ancient Mariners” cache.

“Every spring the small bay side community of Slaughter Beach is invaded by prehistoric creatures that come riding in on the high tide. At times this invasion can look like scenes from a Sci-fi movie. These ancient mariners are called "Horseshoe Crabs" and date back millions of years. They return to the Delaware Bay every year to spawn. It is said that because of the large number of crabs that are washed up on the sand and die is how the town of Slaughter Beach got its name. Help your self to any empty crab shells, I'm sure the residents won't mind.“ Congrats to trison78 for the FTF.
