Geocache Description:

A micro along scenic Deep Hollow Road.

My best birding bud, Barb, and I were out for the R. T. Waterman Bird Club's Census Day.  It's a day in May when our members cover our assigned areas and count the number of birds (and species) we find.  This year we found 93 species in our area in a 24 hour period.

I hid this cache at one of the more scenic spots we stop on this dirt road, where we almost always find a Louisiana Waterthrush. A LOWA (first two letters of each word) is a bird that likes to hang around wooded streams, walking along the water's edge, bobbing its tail rhythmically. It's brown, with a brown streaked on white breast, and a white eye stripe.   Some folks say the difference between a LOWA and a NOWA (Northern Waterthrush) is that the LOWA tends to sashay a bit more slowly, as the Southerners of the US tend to do everything a bit more slowly.

The cache is nothing special, but the setting (and the drive to get there, if you come from the west) is rather beautiful.  The residents of this road are rather vigilant. If you're asked what you're doing here, just reply that you're looking for a Louisiana Waterthrush. You won't be lying! You're looking for a cache on the north side of the road. Congrats to Team Smokey for the FTF !
