Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?
At the Copa, Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa, Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....they fell in love
These are the lyrics often sung by our showtune/music lovin' "Lola" (aka my mother-in-law, my kids Gramma). It was kind of her theme song :-) This cache has been placed in her loving memory. She passed on June 12, 2012, shortly "after" we returned from this trip. We traveled from Sacramento to here, one of her favorite locations in California (Bodega Bay). She loved lighthouses, collecting shells and anything involving the ocean, and most of all her grand babies. This was our first trip without her. This one is in honor of you Lola! You will never me forgotten. Even in the caching community you will live on!
Happy hunting.
Please place back securely.
