Join us for a weekend full of Geocaching activities at Hickory Knob State Resort Park. We will have campfires and S'Mores, complete a geocaching course with pre-published caches and caches made specifically for the event, bring your flashlight for a night caching opportunity or your lounge chair if you choose to enjoy an outdoor showing of the movie Dolphin Tale on the park's huge outdoor screen and don't miss design a cache, using your creativity to decorate your own ammo can.
Below are Hickory Knob's special rates for the weekend and a tentative schedule of events. More information and a confirmed time schedule will be posted as the date gets closer. Feel free to follow this listing as updates will be posted as a logged note rather than a change in description. Other activities available at the park include 18-hole golf course, putting greens and driving range, skeet range, archery range, tennis courts, swimming pool and over 10 miles of trails. One children's playground is provided in the lodge area. The park also has a basketball court, volleyball court, horsehoe pit, tether ball and ladder ball for park guests. There is also a putting green area near the restaurant. Equipment to use these facilities is available for check out at the front desk.
Friday June 22nd:
3:00 PM - until: Registration and Check In
5:30 PM - 9:00 PM: Dinner - on your own (not included in package)
8:00: Welcome, event information & campfire with S'mores - Lakeside ampitheather below 300 section
Saturday June 23rd:
7:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Breakfast in HK Restaurant (included in package)
7:30 AM: Meet at Barn to begin Geocache Course
11:00 AM: Prizes and drawings - HK Barn
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Create a cache activity - HK Barn
5:30 PM - 9:00 PM: Dinner at HK Restaurant (included in package)
8:30 PM: Night caching - Meet at Lodge or Dolphin Tale viewing
Sunday June 24th:
7:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Breakfast in HK Restaurant (included in package)
9:00 AM: Night caching Prizes
11:00 AM: Check-out

• We understand that some cachers live nearby and would rather commute, and there are some who like to bring their pets with them. There are very few brand name motels nearby, but on the opposite side of the Strom Thurmond Reservoir is Elijah Clark State Park which does have some pet friendly accommodations.
