This cache is located along Section 7 of the North Country Trail. This section, between West Lakeview Road and Sturgeon Bay Trail, is one of my favorite trails which has vigorous ascents and descents through sand dunes containing pine, oak, and balsam forests. The hike is 2.8 miles one way. The cache has been placed with permission of the Harbor Springs Chapter of the North Country Trail. The cache is a surprise because I can't remember what I hid there and it is not winter friendly! Be sure and bring water to drink, an extraction tool, and a pen with you. Only walking is allowed on this stretch of trail. If caching with a group, a second car could be left at the Sturgeon Bay Trail parking lot. N45 40.778 W084 58.045
