Salmoncard’s Wold Newton Circular
SWNC is a walk of just over 4 miles and there are 21 caches to be found.
This walk is mostly about the caches, so if you want to boost your numbers, this series is for you. There are some lovely views across the fields. The walk will take you on public footpaths over the fields and down quiet country roads so please keep children and dogs safe.
There is a mixture of cache sizes and containers, no nanos and we believe none of them are difficult which is why there are no hints for any of the caches. However if some prove to be difficult then a hint will be added. Let's see how it goes. As with other Salmoncard caches we have tried to keep everything away from masses of brambles and nettles but some nettles will be encountered.
Parking is available at N 53° 26.801 W 000° 07.473, please park sensibly and do not block the entrance to the woods. Please note that the Public Footpath at the start of the walk and at cache 14 to 15 goes through a farmyard so please do not attempt this series at night, you may end up facing the wrath of the farmer.
3rd. June update:- Hints have been added to some of the caches to make it easier to find and should lead to less damage to the hedgerow. 2018 09 25 Update: There is nowhere in the vicinity of the old location that is suitable so the cache has been moved.
