金星太陽面通過/El Transito de Venus

The two stage multicache is hidden around Kanagawa Prefectural Music hall/Library/Noh-gaku Hall.
The transiti of the Venus on the sun is a phenomenon that the Venus comes inbetween of the Earth and sun. It is like solar eclipse, but of course, the Venus is much farther than the moon, so the Venus don't cover the sun (even hard to observe without equipments). Scientifically, the phenomenon is used to estimate the diameter of the solar system in 17-19c. Still it is used to verify abilities of observation equipments, and thought as important cosmic event because it is very rare (much rare than solar eclipse), which occurs once in 105.5-8-121.5-8- ... years.
Near the initial coords, transition of the Venus is observed in 1874 by Mexican & Japanese scientists team (at the initial coords is a statue of 100th anniversary of the observation). Another statue is built at Yamate - see waypoints. On the year, the phenomenon could be observed from Asian countries, and scientists from all over the world came to Asian countries to observe it. Japan was just after the opening up of the country, and the government accepted foreign scientists. Also in Nagasaki, French scientists observed the phenomenon. Here in Yokohama, two observation point including the GZ (another one is Yamate, shown in waypoints) is selected, and the government made big cooperates such as providing international telegram facility from the Yokohama telegram station (also in waypoints) to the GZ.
The observation is, absolutely one of the epoch of Japanese modern science cooperates with world countries. In 2012, we can observe the phenomenon after 138 years of them (*in 1882 & 2004, all or part of the phenomenon couldn't be observed from Japan).
Around the initial & final, you can see/visit the Yokohama Prefectural Music Hall, Noh-gaku Hall (Noh is historical Japanese play/performance) and Library. Also the relics of Kanagawa Bugyousho (Prefectural office) from 1858 shows that there had been the center of the politics of Kanagawa in opening-up era.
To get the final coords, go to the initial point and read two lines of the coords engraved on the statue (that's not in WGS84);

神奈川県立音楽堂・能楽堂・県立図書館近辺に隠してある、2ステップのマルチキャッシュです。
金星の日面(太陽面)通過現象は、地球・金星・太陽が一直線に並ぶ現象です。日蝕と同様ですが、もちろん金星は遠くはなれているため太陽を覆い隠すようなことはありません (それどころか観測に機材が必要な現象です)。科学的な重要性としては、17-19世紀にはこの現象を利用して太陽系の大きさを推定しようという試みが挙げられます。現在でも機材の性能を確認したり、105.5-8-121.5-8- ... 年周期でしか起こらないことから天文現象として非常に稀である (もちろん日蝕よりも稀有な現象です) という価値があります。
イニシャル座標の近辺では、1874年にメキシコと日本海軍の観測隊が金星日面通過を観測しました (イニシャル座標には観測100周年を記念した碑があります)。もう一箇所の山手観測地点にも記念碑があります (waypoints参照)。その年はアジアの国々でこの現象が観測できることから、世界中の観測チームがアジアに集まりました。日本は開国直後であったため、政府がいくつかの国の受け入れ・支援をすることに決定し、長崎ではフランスの観測隊が観測を行なっています。ここ横浜では、GZを含む2つの観測地点が設定され (もうひとつは山手にあります。ウェイポイント参照)、政府は横浜電信局 (ウェイポイント参照) からGZまで国際電信設備を引くなど多大な協力をしています。
これは紛れもなく、日本が国際的な科学観測の仲間入りをした記念といってよいでしょう。2012年6月6日には、このとき以来138年ぶりに日本で同じ現象を観測できるチャンスです (※ 1882年・2004年には日面通過は一部分または全部が日本から観測できませんでした)。
イニシャル・ファイナルの付近では、県立音楽堂・能楽堂・県立図書館などをみたり訪れることができます。また神奈川奉行所跡 (ウェイポイント参照) からは、1858年以来近世の神奈川の政治の中心地であったことを知ることができます。
キャッシュのファイナル座標を得るためには、イニシャルの石碑に刻まれた2行の座標 (WGS84ではありません) を読み取ってください。
