While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

Geocache Description:

Borten Gård er hjemgården til tidligere statsminister og Senterpartileder Per Borten. The Borten Farm is the home farm of previous Norwegian Prime Minister Per Borten

Per Borten (1913-2005) var ordfører i Flå kommune fra 1945-55, stortingsrepresentant fra 1950 og Leder av Bondepartiet (som ble Senterpartiet i 1959) fra 1955. Han var statsminister i den første varige samlingsregjeringen i Norge fra 1965 til 1971, i 5 år, 5 måneder og 5 dager. Borten beskrev det å lede en samlingsregjering på denne måten: «Jeg vet ikke om det er ubeskjedent, men kanskje min oppgave mer kan sammenlignes med det å bære staur. Alle som har prøvd det, vet at man kan få vanskeligheter underveis hvis stauren begynner å sprike oppe på skuldra.» Se til at cachen sitter godt på plass før du drar:) Per Borten (1913-2005) was mayor of the municipality from Flå 1945-1955, Member of Parliament from 1950 Head of the Agrarian Party (which became the Center in 1959) from 1955. He was prime minister in the first lasting coalition government in Norway from 1965 to 1971, for 5 years, 5 months and 5 days. Borten described to lead a coalition government this way: "I do not know if it's immodest, but perhaps my task more comparable to the carrying poles. Anyone who has tried it, know that you can have difficulties along the way if the pole begins to diverge on the shoulder. " Please check that the cache is well in place before you leave:)
