Background: While Bull6 was snagging all the new FTF's hiking around Lunker Lake some 12 times in the course of his FTF Hunts, he noticed that it has quite a lot of trash and suggested we do a CITO.
Oak Mountain State Park Charges $3 per person to enter.
The plan: We plan to meet at 0800 (that is 8:00 am for you civilians) and expect to be done before Noon. You can CITO for an hour or for most of the day.
What to Bring: Trash Bags, Gloves, Water, and Snacks are suggested.
Wear good shoes if you plan to hike the far northeast side of the lake; otherwise the due east and north side have very good trails (and a lot of trash).
We may ask a few of our Kayaker geo-pals to use their boats so we can float the trash bags back to the staging area (coordinate GZ) by pulling a trash laden row boat.
Previously I wrote: Maybe we could even have a small cook-out for lunch? I hear Bull6 is quite the grill master! Update: Starting around Noon there is a picnic event at the other end of the park. Consider attending that event after the CITO!
