Geocache Description:

This is our long time coming follow up to Brigows 1 again within the confines of central Bristol for all those lunch time cachers.

The cache is not at the coordinates above but nearby you will find what you need to progress this cache.

Please provide feedback so that we can refine this cache as we did with Brigows 1.

Having escaped to the safety of the country in the early forties, the elder Brigows often pondered after their youngsters in the city, but were always too scared to return.

As the years passed slowly in the countryside and more baby Brigows were born, many a fireside tale was spoken of the old times and much conjecture of the younger Brigows and what successes they might be having in the grounds of the castle.

The latest generation of country Brigows finally plucked the courage to try and make contact before it was too late, but having heard scary tales and never set foot inside the city they were perplexed as to how they would find their siblings and make contact without being discovered.

Over the course of several nights in 2012, a brave group of country Brigows made several visits to the castle grounds where their siblings were left, they found many interesting sights that they had never seen before, they found a new smaller castle that had been built but were frightened off by a Sheppard and his sheep, on the final visit (a Saturday night) they really didn’t like what they saw of the ‘others’ stumbling around, falling over and shouting, they decided they could visit no more.

To the disappointment of the intrepid explorers there was no sign of the City Brigows, so as a last desperate attempt they decided to hide somewhere quieter, but to leave a note for the City Brigows to tell them where they were in the hope that they could make contact.

One of the Country Brigows, Arroyo had found many books in the countryside and had educated himself in the ways of cryptography and decided they should find a way to encode their location so that none of the ‘others’ could find them, as their last act before retreating from the castle the Country Brigows found the perfect cypher, wrote their note and pinned it inside castle gate.

When I saw this note flapping around in the wind, I was immediately intrigued as to find the Country Brigows hiding place, but clearly this is too complicated for me so I am laying down the challenge … can you help me find the Country Brigows City Retreat?
