Geocache Description:

A simple little cache located where you can park and enjoy the view (when it's not misty) of the Tudwal Islands in a south-easterly direction. There are picnic tables and a small grass area adjacent to this cache. This Cache is maintained from May to September only.

There are two main islands: Saint Tudwal's Island West (Welsh: Ynys Tudwal Fawr) and Saint Tudwal's Island East (Welsh: Ynys Tudwal Fach), plus the Carreg y Trai rocks, visible during the low tides. The East island (the one on the left as you look out) is currently owned by TV writer/author Carla Lane (she wrote a number of sitcoms including The Liver Birds, Bless This House, Butterflies and Bread) and the West island (the one on the right) was recently purchased by British adventurer Bear Grylls and converted into a holiday home. The islands are known for their seal population. The Western island has a lighthouse, and the Eastern one has the remains of a priory. Enjoy the views. This Cache is maintained from May to September only.
