Special Thanks to Clatmandu for this cache!

To find this cache you'll take a nice little hike down to the AuSable River.  This river stretches about 138 miles.  An old map from 1795 called it the Beauais River, but has since been given is current name which in French literally means "with sand".  This sandy river is home to some of the best trout fishing East of the Rockies.  The river was originally home to a now extinct fish known as the Grayling.  But the introduction of the Brook Trout and over fishing wiped them out.  This is also one of the best canoeing rivers in Michigan, home to the 120 mile AuSable River Canoe Marathon.  So enjoy the view and the cache!
