Geocache Description:

This is a very easy, accessible cache with many ways to find the final, but you will
not find the final at the posted coordinates. To find it, read on!

Geocache placed in partnership with the Calgary Public Library. Rediscover your Calgary Public Library and explore our communities in our city-wide Scavenger Hunt. Using GPS units available at all library locations, search out our many hidden treasures and complete quizzes and riddles about the library and our city. This summer, enjoy a stay-vacation activity with family and friends. Program launches June 9th 2012; see Calgary Public Libraries Centennial website for more details. In partnership with City of Calgary Parks, City of Calgary Recreation.

Thorn-Hill branch, is so named because of the communities that it serves, Thorncliffe and Huntington Hills. This branch opened on October 5, 1974 in a civic tri-services building. It was designed by Parsons and Singleton Architects and became a Calgary home for the educational resources of Athabasca University. It has been renovated three times, the latest in 1990 due to damage by arson. It served the north part of the city until the opening of the Country Hills branch in 2004. Renovations by Sahuri + Partners Architecture were completed in January 2006 with a redesign of the main entry and circulation areas.

The geocache is located inside the library. If you can, stay a while. Be sure to visit my favorite area, the adult fiction section. You can find all kinds of great information in the library! You can do research on chipMUNks, amMUNition, comMUNicable diseases that may even result in autoimMUNe diseases or even such MUNdane things such as the vegetables best to MUNch on. Be sure to plan around the following hours:
Monday to Thursday: 10 am - 9 pm
Friday and Saturday: 10 am - 5 pm
Sunday: 12 noon - 5 pm

*Closed Sundays during the summer. The last open Sunday is May 13 and the first open Sunday is September 9, 2012.

For more information visit Thorn-Hill Library

The coordinates will take you to the back of the building, but there is no need to go there. The cache is hidden inside the library. Still wondering how to find the actual geocache? If all else fails, do what I do and ask a librarian! They are aware of the geocache placement.
