Special Notes about the 2012 Puzzle Challenge: To be considered for Fastest Solver points, you must verify your solution with certitude. If you have worked as a team (or otherwise shared knowledge), please email me separately, so that points can be distributed correctly. All "point" scoring is arbitrary anyway, subject to change, at the discretion of the cache owner, and probably completely meaningless (unless you just want to be announced sooner at the celebration banquet). The real challenge is just to see whether you can solve all of these caches by the end of the year. To maintain fairness, hints should not be offered by the cache owner or other solvers until the fifteenth of the month.
Special Notes about this month's puzzle: Submit solution coordinates in the form: N XX XX.XXX W XXX XX.XXX in order to receive the true coordinates for the log. One of the reviewers did not like the original location; so The North Star graciously found a new location for the cache.
