DE: Kurzer Tradi in der Nähe der Eichfelder Schotterseen.
EN: Short Traditional cache near the gravel ponds of Eichfeld.
DE: Der Cache liegt am Rande der Eichfelder Schotterseen.
Seit einigen Jahren wird hier Schotter abgebaut. Die dadurch entstandenen Seen sind ein Geheimtipp für Fischer und Naturliebhaber.
Einige Parzellen wurden verpachtet und im Sommer als Badestrand von Sonnenhungrigen benutzt.
Von einem Aussichtspunkt,der früher auch einmal als Cachelocation gedieht hat, lassen sich in den frühen Morgen und Abendstunden viele verschiedene Wasservögel beobachten. Die Koordinaten werde ich jetzt für Interessierte als optionalen Wegpunkt angeben!
Besonders an heißen Sommertagen bitte ich euch, auf mögliche Bademuggles an den nahegelegenen Parzellen zu achten, um dem Cache noch ein langes Leben zu garantieren!
EN: The cache is located close to the gravel ponds of Eichfeld.
A couple of years ago a company started mining gravel there. As a result these lakes originated and are now pretty well known to fishermen and other people of the region, who love the nature. It is also possible to rent a small piece of land at the water for the summer.
At a nearby viewpoint, which has been the cache location in the past, you are able to observe different kinds of water birds, especially in the early morning hours. If you still want to visit this viewpoint, i have marked it as a waypoint!
Please be aware that on hot days in the summer there can be a lot of mugs around, so search carefully!
