Koshki is the Georgian word for tower, and while Georgia is known for its medieval stone towers, this cache is hidden in one a little more modern. You’re looking for another empty skoal tin. Bring your own pen. COORDINATES ARE OFF- READ DESCRIPTION CLOSELY! Find more precise coordinates in the logs (Hints/images should help too)
From Kashueti head back to the road and keep walking up the track- yes there are two at times, but don’t worry they both lead to the same place. After some time you’ll find a large radio tower to your left and in the distance you should be able to see an old rusted water tower. At the time this was hidden, construction of another tower had just begun on a new radio tower right next to it. There’s a great view from there and iIf you’re lucky enough to come on a clear day, you’ll be treated to the magnificent sight of the dramatic southern Caucasus Mountains across the Alizani Valley. The large abandoned concrete buildings a little ways off are also neat to explore.
From here you can follow the tracks into upper Nukriani where there are a couple shops and usually a number of cabs that you can take down into Sighnaghi. You can also wait around for a marshutka, or if you don’t mind a little walk, it’s not too far down to town on foot, especially if you find the short cut- it’s the second gravel track that leaves the main the road as you come down from upper Nukriani. Keep to the left and it’ll take you down into Sighnaghi directly- maybe a 40 minute walk going down.
