Our Old Cabin is located off Sheridan Lake Road. After finding Bighorn Ridge cache (GC3284B) we decided we needed to get out of the sun. We eventually found a grove of trees with some good shade. After walking a short way, there it was: Our Old Cabin. It looks like it was being rebuilt but isn't done. What a wonderful place to drink water and take a break. We also enjoyed listening to the wind blowing in the trees!
Park at the coordinates listed below. You will have to climb over two forest service gates to get here. There will be two forks in the road. Always stay to the left. It's a very nice road so we would recommend no bushwacking until close to the cache. You are looking for a small container which has no room for any swag. Please Bring A Pencil to sign the logbook. After you have signed the logbook, please put the cache back the same way you found it. A hint will be given only after a DNF has been logged.
